Capzule PHR!

As a mom on the go.... ok well not so much on the go but always going out for walks I tend to worry about the what ifs.  I always think of the worst possible scenerio and hate that I am not prepared.  I suffer from OCD and I go insane not having important information with me at all times and nicely organzied so I can find it.  It is this reasoning that I really want an iDevice.  With the many apps available I would be more than organized while on the go.

There is a great new app out there right now for your iDevice called Capzule PHR.  You can easily set it up to list each family member and provide all their medical information.  How awesome is that?  One easy to find location for all your important medical information.  Capzule PHR has tabs under each family member where each of the following can be found:
  • general data such as allergies and conditions
  • immunizations/vaccinations and histories
  • medications
  • a place to record vitals, lab results, or personal health statistics such as blood sugar with a graph view to help better visualize the data
  • a place to type in notes from doctor visits, or save documents that were scanned into your computer such as test results, letters, or medical bills
  • a place to enter appointment dates and times
Amazing right?  So you're on vacation and your child falls and breaks a bone, in the shock of it all you can remember their allergies.  Grab your iDevice and click on their name and there it is all available literally in the palm of your hand. You can easily store doctor's names and numbers into the app for easy look up during a stressful emergency.

I don't know about you, but as a mom to three trying to fill out information whether at the doctors or enrolling your child into school or summer camp can be long, painful and I am often forgetting key points that are needed on the form.  With Capzule PHR all of that is right there with you no matter where you are.  No more carrying every document in to remember the details or fumbling around your pocket book for the tiny piece of paper you wrote stuff on.

This app would have been beyond useful when hubby and I got married.  Imagine this while preparing ourselves for guests (we eloped at City Hall) for our BBQ reception my grandmother calls and alerts us something is beyond wrong with Khloe's arm.  I can hear my little girl screaming in the background.  While I tell my grandmother to bring her over so we can take her to the ER hubby is running around finding all her medical information.  Luckily in the end she had only dislocated her elbow and popped it back in on her own before even being seen at the ER.  Had the Capzule PHR app been available at the time we could easily have met my grandmother at the hospital with all the information rather than hunt all over our house trying to remember where each item was.

Currently I do not own an iDevice, but believe me if when I do this will be on it.  Want more info?  Check out their website or their How To page.
